Open Position:
Festival Production Manager
for the Make Music Cyprus Festival
Deadline: 31 October 2025
Location: Cyprus (hybrid). The role involves regular team meetings (mostly online) in the months leading up to the event, and on-site meetings with the team and external partners before and during the festival period.
We’re looking for a motivated, creative, and organised individual who shares our passion for music, community, and cultural celebration. This is a voluntary position, ideal for someone who wants to play a key role in shaping one of Cyprus’s most vibrant street music festivals. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our festival community.
About the Organisation
Make Music Cyprus is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting music, creativity, and community engagement through a range of cultural projects and initiatives. It is part of the global Fête de la Musique movement, which is a celebration that began in France in 1982 and now takes place in over 1,000 cities worldwide. Our mission is simple: to make music accessible to everyone. Each year, we bring together professional and amateur musicians, choirs, DJs, and music lovers across Cyprus for a festival filled with free performances in public spaces.
The Make Music Cyprus Festival is entirely non-profit and volunteer-driven, built on the belief that music can unite people, communities, and cultures. It comes to life every year thanks to the contribution of dozens of volunteers, hundreds of musicians and a small but strong organising team.

Work closely with the Project Manager and Creative Coordinator to stay aligned on plans and progress.
Set, monitor, and adjust deadlines according to the festival’s milestones.
Ensure clear and consistent communication within the Production Team and across other teams (Creative, Logistics, Management).
Coordinate with external vendors, partners, and public or private stakeholders.
Anticipate potential risks and address issues proactively.
Allocate festival resources
Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented team culture.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about event management, music, and community events

Able to manage multiple tasks and collaborate within a team
Comfortable working in a dynamic, creative, and volunteer-based environment
Proactive, reliable, and full of fresh ideas
Experienced and comfortable with spreadsheets and documents (either Google or Microsoft)

Previous experience or qualifications in event or project management are a plus, but enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine love for music matter just as much!
