In 2020, the festival reached a pivotal moment in its journey. The event took place under the name Make Music Nicosia, but under entirely different conditions, as it moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first online edition of the festival in Cyprus, proving that music could continue to connect people even at a distance. A total of 48 artists participated, maintaining a strong connection with the audience while opening a new chapter for the festival’s identity and development.

That same year marked a defining step for the future of the initiative: the non-profit organization Make Music Nicosia was established by Andria Nicodemou, Aggelos Fotiou, and Alexandros Pavlides, laying the foundations, vision, and goals for the years to come.

Following the completion of the event, both the festival and the organisation were renamed Make Music Cyprus, marking the transition from a local initiative to one with a nationwide perspective.
